WHISTLE, MINOTAURE !

The curatorial program of Cavaliere &
Türkowsky serves the inspiration of a wider understanding of different cultural contexts and a critical approach to emphazise questions of how to experience a broader range of thouhgts, concepts and processes in fine art using sound as a basic material.
Their curational work will present a series of sound performances creating a specific "trace environments". These environments will be invisible or visible for the
spectator during a period of a few days as well as two exhibitions every year. Cavaliere & Türkowsky will collaborate with the invited artists to question the idea of documentation and archive and will concentrate on creating a series of objects and documents that will build up to an expanding archive in the gallery space. Their goal will be to create a platform to present international emerging artists and to promote a critical and theoretical discourse on "soundart" to expand the meaning of this so often caged terminus through discussion, education and action. An 'investigation that focuses attention on sound and its most simple and complex: the immediacy with which propagates as sensory phenomenon, but mostly as a spontaneous phenomenon, an element of self-contained, beyond its function and its semiotic use.
