Grim film is a witness, it captures and documents the multifacetted ongoings of the GRIMMUSEUM.
Grim film takes on the formal form of the portrait.
Grim film strives to reflect on currents, it is also a visual representation of the topics discussed in the Museum context, it engages with interpretations and themes that the exhibiting artists relate to. Grim-film is also a possibility to layer and integrate video documentations of different events into one overall framework. Grim film strives to develop a style and narrative that expresses and represents GRIMMUSEUM and the Grimfilmmakers.
Every six months Grim-film selects external filmmakers to screen their films along the current Grim-film, this also will be the time where the ongoing project is viewed and discussed.
Grim-film comes to live through different aspects: documentation, interpretation and expression, together they form a body of work that is, as many others, Grimmuseum.
